A Region's Story

(statues to the left represent Frederick Douglass as one of the few men invited to the Women's Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, NY July 1848)

Canandaigua Lake - "The Chosen Spot"

Canandaigua is located between Rochester and Syracuse New York.

The name Canandaigua is derived from the Native American word "Kanandarque", which means "chosen spot".

Rochester, NY

Visit Rochester, NY and the many monuments to Susan B. Anthony & Frederick Douglass.  (Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge Pictured on left.)
